# Google Play now lets users host private, vibe-coded apps on Android

Google has rolled out a feature that lets anyone build AI-generated ("vibe-coded") apps and distribute them through Google Play without going through full public publishing, with the apps kept private rather than listed for everyone. The move lowers the barrier for non-developers and hobbyists to run their own creations on Android devices. It reflects Google's push to combine AI-assisted app creation with its Play Store distribution platform.
