# Bookshelf: Self-Hosted eBook Library Using Object Storage

A new open-source project called Bookshelf offers a self-hosted eBook library that stores books on object storage such as Amazon S3 or compatible services. It is designed for users who want full control over their digital collection without relying on cloud-based commercial platforms. This matters for privacy-conscious readers and developers seeking lightweight, scalable alternatives to traditional ebook management systems.
