# Aneurin Bevan's security file 'remarkably tame', National Archives reveal

Bevan, a founder of the NHS and a senior Labour figure, was long monitored by security services during the Cold War era. The release offers a glimpse into how officials assessed a major political figure, though it contains little of controversy.
